Join Harken's Fight Against MPS-1
Shortly before sweet baby Harken's 1st birthday, her family received the devastating news that Harken has a very aggressive genetic disorder, MPS-1. At this time, there is no cure for this syndrome. MPS-1, is also known as, Hurler syndrome.
We have created this site so that family and friends can be a part of Harken's journey. It is our hope that our love and support will see them through this trying time. Our goal is to help the family move forward to give Harken an opportunity to experience the beautiful life she deserves to.
Harken Elizabeth Benoit entered this world as a healthy 9lb. 4oz baby. She was beautiful, sweet, and everything we imagined a baby girl to be.
Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS1) rare genetic disorder that affects many body systems and that leads to organ damage.
Thank you for considering in helping Harken and her family in the fight against MPS-1.
